Ural Airlines opened its own aviation museum, the historical chronology of which begins in the late 1940s and early 1950s. and continues to this day. The exposition reflects the story of the selfless work of aviators, labor dynasties, achievements of airline and love to the sky of people of different professions.
The museum includes sections: "Flight through Time" from Sverdlovsk to Yekaterinburg shows the leaders of airline, aircraft mock-ups, archival documents and photographs. The next section is devoted to the history of engineering and aviation service, flight service and flight attendants service. The preserved photos allow to visualize how the working conditions of specialists, complicated equipment, devices and equipment have changed in half a century. Interactive installation – The Il-86 will give you the opportunity to feel like a pilot.
In other sections you can see the Chronicle of events for 25 years, the volume of models of buildings of the airline (new office, simulator complex and aviation-Technical center), a map, deserved awards and other interesting exhibits.
A lot of work has been done to create the museum and its opening in the Jubilee year for the airline is a big event. The museum reflects not only the formation of civil aviation in Sverdlovsk and Yekaterinburg, the difficult way of dividing airline, the emergence of the largest airline of the Urals and the airport "Koltsovo", but most importantly people dedicated their life aviation.
